Hundreds gather for ‘bring back hostages’ walk in Sarasota
SARASOTA, FLA. (SNN) - The “March Against Hate: Bring Back the Hostages” walk took place on Sunday along the John Ringling Causeway bridge.
One of the hostages taken was Sagui Dekel-Chen, whose father and step-mother were at the march.
"We cry. We work. We try to spread the word. We lift up the names of other hostages and we keep fighting for recognition," Gillian Kaye, Sagui Dekel-Chen’s step-mother said.
"He is the son any father and any parent would want, he is 35 years old and the father of two little girls," his father, Jonathan Dekel-Chen, said.
The march was organized by the Ministerial Association of Sarasota.
"It feels incredible to have our friends and neighbors outside the Jewish community show how much they care as well," Shep Englander, CEO Jewish Federation of Manatee said.
