MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN) - A 20-year-old man fired shots during a bar fight and is now facing attempted murder charges.

Manatee County deputies arrested 20-year-old Devin Waiters of Bradenton.

Just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies responded to the Oneco Rose Bar, 103 Cortez Road, where a man opened fire inside the bar, injuring two customers.

Deputies found one victim at the bar with a bullet wound but learned the shooter, later identified at Waiters, fled the scene.

Both victims ended up in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives learned a fight broke out between Waiters and a customer before Waiters fired multiple gunshots in the direction of that customer, also striking a bystander twice.

Detectives arrested Waiters on outstanding warrants that night and following further investigation developed probable cause to charge him with Attempted Murder. Additional charges are expected.
