UPDATE:

SARASOTA (SNN TV) - A 16-year-old is arrested after crashing a car into Kacey's Seafood in Sarasota.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the teenage girl had no license and hit two Minnesota residents in their 60s. Both are seriously injured and fighting for their lives. Those two were eating outside at the time of the collision.

Kacey's Seafood is on Fruitville road just west of i-75.

The teenage driver was also transported on trauma alert, but according to FHP, she didn't suffer any injuries.

Kacey's is closed indefinitely, both dine-in and take-out.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

SARASOTA (SNN TV) - A car crashed into the front of a local restaurant around 4pm. First responders are on the scene.

A car slammed into the front of Kacey's Seafood and More at Fruitville Rd and Honore Ave.

Three customers were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital as trauma alerts.

The three patients are said to have "serious bodily injuries."

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
