RALEIGH, NC (SNN-TV) - Not a lot went right for the Lightning last night in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A sluggish offensive effort from the Bolts and a Hurricanes hat trick sent Tampa Bay to a fifth-consecutive loss, falling 6-0 at PNC Arena.

Making matters worse for the Bolts was an apparent injury to Victor Hedman. On his first shift of the second period, Hedman was sent flying awkwardly into the boards and remained on the ice in pain. Hedman was back briefly for one shift, but again headed back to the locker room and did not return.

On the night the Lightning generated little offense, going without a shot on goal in the second period. Andrei Vasilevskiy had 32 saves. The loss also marked the second six-goal margin of defeat in a month's time for Tampa Bay.

The Lightning will try to turn things around back at home when they open a four-game home-stand tomorrow against Philadelphia.
