A train derailed in Manatee County Tuesday afternoon.

A total of six cars are on their side. Five of the cars are box cars that were hauling sheetrock, which imposes no danger.

The sixth car that is on it's side is a propane tank that is full, carrying approximately 30,000 gallons of propane. The seventh car is off the track and also carrying propane.

The Southern Manatee Fire Rescue is monitoring the derailment with thermal imagers and personnel while awaiting orders from Seminole Railroad Line.

This could take a few days to get the cars back on the track.

Officials in Manatee County are investigating what led up to a train derailment.
