A Bradenton man is dead after his daughter's boyfriend shot him in his front yard.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at 5404 12th Avenue Drive West on Saturday around 2:25 in the afternoon.

The victim’s wife and daughter told deputies they were inside the home when they heard gunshots coming from the driveway. They immediately ran outside to find the victim laying face down in the yard and the daughter’s boyfriend, 29-year-old Charles Shadrach holding a shot gun.

Shadrach then placed the gun by the front door and told his girlfriend, the victim’s daughter, quote “he won’t be bothering you anymore”.

Detectives have learned about a series of domestic arguments that have occurred between the victim, his daughter and Shadrach. They had all been living in the same residence.

Charles Shadrach is being charged with second degree murder. The investigation continues.
