SARASOTA COUNTY - $70,968.  That’s how much parents at Sarasota County’s Pine View School have currently raised for air purifiers, and that number is growing.

In less than two weeks, the Go Fund Me campaign for the hospital grade air purifiers has already raised enough to outfit every classroom in Pine View School with the Aerus Pure + Clean air purifiers.  The Aerus is sized for a desktop and uses high UV lights to kill toxins in the air, which could help decrease the spread of COVID-19 in the classroom when schools reopen next Monday.

Currently the fundraiser has 130 total purifiers, with 112 of those going to Pine View and the remainder reserved for other teachers within the County.

SNN’s Jenna Brew will check in with campaign organizer Courtney Rosenthal later this week with more on this unique fundraiser.
