BRADENTON - Three Bradenton men, including two brothers, have been arrested and charged with attempted second–degree murder.

27-year-old Brandon Schwartz, 21-year-old Jacob Bennett, and 19-year-old Jared Bennett were all arrested for a stabbing in the 1300 block of 57th Avenue East.

The victim arrived at the address there to pick up scaffolding for a construction job, but the three suspects pulled up in a vehicle. An argument began immediately, before Jacob Bennett then picked up a heavy garden rake and started swinging it at the victim.  As he tried to defend himself, the victim was stabbed several times from behind. Witnesses identified Schwartz as the individual doing the stabbing.

Deputies say the victim used to date the mother of Jared and Jacob Bennett and that Schwartz is related to the Bennett brothers.
