SARASOTA -- The 2019 varsity boys basketball season is off and running. Lakewood Ranch survived a close one at Tornado alley, spoiling Booker's home opener.

Lakewood Ranch, led by head coach Jeremy Schiller, coming off a 24 win season, and a state runner up, looks to make it back to Lakeland in March. The Mustangs were led by senior Jaden Jones ho poured in a game high 17 points. 

Booker battled back after an early first quarter double digit deficit, but came up five points short, losing 51-46.
