The Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art & Design is still preparing for a grand opening, but it is already getting some national praise from  Architectural Digest. The museum has transformed the Sarasota High School campus, combining the original 1926 high school building designed by Leo Elliott with additions designed in 1960 by Paul Rudolph.

The museum project features classrooms and workshops for Ringling College's lifetime learning programs and multiple floors for rotating exhibits run by the museum. The magazine describes it as an "an exhibition space built with care. When it reopens in December, its expected to be a testament to its past, while inspiring the artists of the present. The grand opening is on Dec. 14.
