Daiquiri Deck is expanding to Anna Maria
ANNA MARIA ISLAND - Daiquiri Deck is bringing its wide array of daiquiris to Anna Maria Island.
According to the Herald Tribune, the three-story, 14,000-square-foot restaurant is being built on a former free parking lot. The store the lot belonged to, Bridge Street Bazaar, will move into the ground floor, and the Daiquiri Deck and it's famous frozen drink machines on both the second and third floors.
Jake Spooner, the owner of the future Daiquiri Deck site and vice mayor of Bradenton Beach, said that Bridge Street is changing. Russell Matthes, owner of Daiquiri Deck, said that Bridge Street's old Florida charm was a big reason he and his partners chose to open the restaurant's fifth location there.
