Sarasota has monopoly on new board game
SARASOTA (WSNN) - There's now a Monopoly game about Sarasota. It's called Sarasota-Opoly.
Instead of Boardwalk and Park Place, the most expensive plot on the Sarasota-Opoly board is St. Armands Circle, which costs just $425 in Monopoly money, according to the Herald Tribune. You can purchase Sarasota landmarks like Livingston's Amusement Center, the Florida Studio Theatre and Longboat Key in a new game from 'Late for the Sky' Production Co.
In a tip of the cap to our circus history, the logo is a little circus tent between the words "Sarasota" and "Opoly". Also included in the game are Toasted Mango Cafe, Burns Square, McCurdy's Comedy Theatre, as well as the suncoast staples like Siesta Key Beach, Lido Key Beach and the John Ringling Causeway.
