Sarasota County Park is site where community was invited to participate in public service projects
SARASOTA - National Public Lands Day was observed at Oscar Scherer State Park Saturday morning. A local cub scout troop contributed by spreading mulch on two of the park's playgrounds as well as preparing for the park's upcoming haunted trail event.
"We're just really glad that we had a really good turnout today and got a lot of work done. Thank you to the community and we think we had about 100 people out today," Park Service Specialist Diana Stinson said.
