Displaced animals in Bahamas coming to the Suncoast
SUNCOAST - Some Animals rescued from Hurricane Dorian are bound for the Suncoast.
SNN's Marco La Manno was out at Cat Depot in Sarasota Monday as cats were brought there from the storm-ravaged island.
Also, Nate's Honor Animal Rescue in Manatee County will be accepting and adopting out animals rescued from Dorian. More than 150 animals from the Bahamas Humane Society were being flown to Florida on Monday, and some of them were scheduled to arrive at Nate's Honor Animal Rescue, on Lorraine Road.
When they arrive at Nate's, the animals will receive a medical exam, vaccines, and de-worming. The pets will be quarantined for two weeks before they will be available for adoption.
