Shoppers, start your engines! Shoppers and Florida's retail industry are gearing up for this year's back–to–school sales tax "holiday" on clothes, classroom supplies and computer equipment. The state is offering the tax break for five days starting Friday. Computers and certain tech accessories with price tags up to $1,000 are expected to create increased sales.

Last year's back–to–school tax holiday lasted three days and didn't include computer equipment. Economists project shoppers will save $42 million during the tax holiday. The period lasts through Tuesday.
