Christmas arrives early for Manatee County Sheriff's Office
MANATEE COUNTY - Members of the Ferrari Group of Sarasota showed up to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday morning with fast cars and a little holiday cheer in the form of a check donations worth more than $165,000 dollars.
Sheriff Wells was all smiles surrounded by three shiny Ferrari’s accepting the donation toward MCSO’s annual ‘Flight to the North Pole’ charity. Jurgen Otto with the Ferrari Drivers Group says their reason for choosing MSCO’s charity was simple.
"Because all the money stays local. It goes for locally ill kids ands it’s run by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Department and I believe it should stay here. They can use all the money they can get!" says Otto.
The Christmas themed event helps critically ill kids in our community with medical supplies while creating a fun filled winter wonderland they may not be able to enjoy otherwise.
Sheriff Wells confirms this year’s Flight to the North Pole event will be held at Feld’s Entertainment.
