Sarasota man scratches off $1 million winner
SARASOTA - This scratching is way, way, way better than scratching an itch, and more profitable, as well..
Stephen Lyons bought a $5 Monopoly Jackpot scratch–off lottery ticket at Palmer Market in Sarasota, and that $5 investment paid off as the 75-yr-old from Sarasota won $1 million.
Lyons took the lump–sum payment of $715,000 while the owners of the market get $2000 for their troubles...and for selling the winning ticket, of course.
Lyons, we are told by Florida Lottery officials, declined to be photographed.
