SARASOTA - A memorial service and celebration of life for Parkinson Place Program Director Marilyn Tait will take place Saturday, July 13.

Tait passed away Sunday, July 7, after a brief illness and was in the healthcare and neuroscience industry for decades. She had a passion for helping those with Parkinson's disease and making them feel strong enough to fight the it. Parkinson Place Founder Larry Hoffheimer, who knew Tait for 20 years, says her impact on the Parkinson's community was deep.

"I think, more than anything else, in helping to create one of the best facilities for Parkinson's patients, both mentally and physically, she gave them a sense of inspiration and hope," Hoffheimer said.

The services will be at Parkinson Place this Saturday at 1 p.m. at 5969 Cattleridge Blvd #100 in Sarasota.
