MANATEE -- The Manatee Hurricanes made some noise Tuesday afternoon, when the school welcomed Jacquez Green to their coaching staff. Green will assume duties as the offensive coordinator for a Manatee team that finished 2018 with 8 wins. The Hurricanes, a 7 seed in class 8A, fell to Riverview in the Regional Semifinal round.

The former wide receiver, Green, was born in Fort Valley, Georgia. He played for the Florida Gators from 1995-97, where he was first team all SEC. In 1998, he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round.
