Two more flesh-eating bacteria cases reported on Suncoast
SARASOTA COUNTY - Two more cases of flesh–eating bacteria symptoms are reported on the Suncoast with people who swam at area beaches.
The Herald-Tribune reports a 45–year–old woman from Arcadia contracted the bacteria on her leg after going in the water at Siesta Key Beach in May.
The newspaper reports a 28–year–old woman from Orlando was also diagnosed this week with the bacteria after swimming at Turtle Beach.
These cases come after a 77–year–old Ellenton woman died of complications from flesh–eating bacteria that she contracted while swimming at Coquina Beach in Manatee County.
