SARASOTA - A Man is arrested for wrong-way driving on I-75 in Sarasota County.

It happened apparently between Mile Marker 165 and 171. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Rosain Migdael Lopez was driving under the influence, as well. This all came to light before first light when people reported a wrong-way driver on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County early Sunday, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

At about 1 a.m., a car was spotted driving north in the southbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 165. Troopers found a black sedan facing the wrong way in the median with its hazard lights on, its engine running and the windshield wipers on, even though it was not raining.

Lopez, a 21-year-old from Ohio, was asleep. He tested for a BAC of .148, nearly double the legal limit, and was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
