Super–termite that chews through concrete headed for Tampa Bay area
A Super–termite is headed for the Tampa Bay area ,and it can chew through concrete. This 'super-bug ' is sinister, and besides concrete it can gnaw through plumbing and spit acid. The non–native Formosan, or subterranean species, and Asian species termites are wreaking havoc on homes all over South Florida specifically Miami. According to WFLA, experts say there's no doubt these termites are headed for Tampa Bay, they say it's not a question of if, but rather, when.
The experts also they show up in droves stay far longer than you'd ever imagine. And, it takes an extraordinary amount of effort to get rid of them. Right now, it's swarming season, a pesky time of year that runs from May to July.
