CHARLOTTE COUNTY - The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for the biological mother of missing teen Sage Cambron, 15. Brenda Cambron, 53, is now wanted on charges of kidnapping, interference of child custody and removing a minor from the state. 


 

 

Sage was reported missing from her foster home in Port Charlotte on Monday by her foster guardian. The guardian told law enforcement that Sage has an autism the mental capacity of a 5 year old. Deputies say she requires daily guidance and care due to her intellectual abilities.

Charlotte County Deputies searched the home and the surrounding area and found no evidence of her walking away from her home. 

 

 

A Florida SunPass transponder linked to Brenda's Honda was scanned by Florida SunPass system on the Veterans Memorial Highway, in Tampa.

The Toll Plaza camera captured a clear photo of the vehicle and appears to show Sage and Brenda in the front seats.


Sage Cambron’s parents, Christopher and Brenda Cambron, had their parental rights revoked by Florida Department of Children and Families and also have active no contact orders preventing them from contacting her, according to the Sheriff's Office.

 

The Louisiana home of Sage's biological father, Christopher Cambron, was searched late Monday evening but Sage wasn't found.

Brenda Cambron is described as 5’4″, 180 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She is driving a 2005 black Honda 2 door, FL Tag EKAI65. Detectives believe she has left the State of Florida with Sage and is headed back to Louisiana.
