SARASOTA COUNTY - Both rivals met for the third time this season with Venice winning the to previous outings.  They attempted to play last night but inclement weather postponed the game and Friday they locked horns.

Venice jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first.  Indians Kevin Dubrule hit what appeared to be a home run in left field but the umpire crew got together to call it back as the ball went left of the foul pole.  The Indians would add two more runs in the inning. The game got delayed for two hours due to lightning.  Both teams resumed play as Venice beats Charlotte. The two teams will play in regional play next week.
