MANATEE COUNTY - The Braden River Pirates welcomed the Bayshore Bruins in a non district match up in varsity baseball.

The Pirates got things going in the bottom of the first inning with an RBI single by Ryan Waldschmidt giving Braden River a 1-0 lead. Pirates would lead 3-0 in the bottom of the second Waldschmidt delivered an RBI sacrifice bunt scoring John DiPasqua from third Pirates lead 4-0. Top of the third 5-0 Braden River starting pitcher Myles Kaitz struck out consecutive batters to retire the side.  Pirates Ezra Mason hit a three run homerun over the left field fence to put Braden River up 8-0.

The game got called after five innings with Braden River winning 12-0. Kaitz pitched five no hit innings, struck out 12 batters he faced and walked two.
