MANATEE - Setting school records at Braden River high school in passing yards, passing touchdowns and completions, Bryan Gagg put pen to paper, signing his letter of intent to the University of East Carolina. Over a two year span with the Pirates, Gagg racked up 4,472 yards through the air, registering 52 touchdowns while leading Braden River to a 17-5 record.

Gagg enrolled early, giving him the opportunity to report to East Carolina's campus this coming spring to get acclimated with the team ahead of his first semester in the fall of 2019.

High school Seniors up and down the Suncoast announced their plans for continuing their football careers at the next level. Just to name a few: Dustyn Hall and Kenny Scribner from Charlotte high school committed to USF, Kam Green from Southeast high school signed on with UCF, Hayden Wolff from Venice high school made it official with Old Dominion, and a pair of IMG teamates, Evan Neal and Trey Sanders committed to the Crimson Tide of Alabama.
