MANATEE COUNTY – A crash Sunday morning leaves at least one person dead.


According to the Florida Highway Patrol the crash was reported at 10:30 am on University Parkway and North Shade Avenue.


A beige Buick sedan received severe damage to the driver side doors and windshield.


For several hours only one lane was open to drivers.


No other information has been released. FHP is investigating the crash.
