MANATEE COUNTY- As unemployment rates across the nation drop down to an all–time low last month, Goodwill Manasota works to expand the Suncoast’s workforce.

The non–profit hosted their annual job fair Wednesday, where more than 30 organizations came out to their corporate campus; from Lowe’s to Manatee County Schools.

Last year, Goodwill served nearly 500 people through their Job Connection Program and 300 veterans.

Margie Genter, Vice President of Mission Services, Goodwill Manasota said, “We have an amazing veterans program and our focus with the veterans is helping them reintegrate into the workplace, if they’ve recently separated from the military or if they’ve been out of the military for awhile and just want to get a better job, our veterans programs can help with all of that.”

Goodwill Manasota also offers GED classes. Genter said the non-profit is always happy to help connect those to any job placement service Goodwill does not offer.
