Former BPD detective arrested
BRADENTON – A former Bradenton Police Department detective has been arrested a decade after he left the force. The BPD arrested Peter Biddlecome and charged him with stealing jewelry from a home and pawning the items.
According to the Herald Tribune, Biddlecome resigned from his detective job with the department in 2007 during an internal affairs investigation for conduct unbecoming an officer. He and two other officers were accused of having sex with a prostitute.
Recently, Biddlecome confessed to a residential burglary on Sept. 11 at 67th St. W. He took multiple pieces of jewelry and sold them to pawn shops. He was being held on $9,000 bond.
Biddlecome served with the Bradenton police from January 2003 to June 2007.
