Car wash fundraiser for teenager who died in car crash


MANATEE – The New Manatee Broncos are raising funeral funds for 16-year-old, Jashod Spicer, who died in a crash, Saturday.

Manatee County Deputies say he and 4 other teenagers stole an SUV and sped off, reaching speeds up to 90 miles an hour. Spicer, lovingly called Peanut, played football for the Broncos, where coaches say he was good on the field and off. Now, they are doing everything they can to help his family.

“We’re always a family. It’s like that family connection with everybody have. We’re just out here raising money for his funeral expenses. As a community everybody come out help donation wise, even if you don’t want your car washed come out and help us raise money for his funeral expenses,” said Dyshawn Larry, Broncos Cheer Coach.

The other teens were flown to All Children’s Hospital and deputies say their injuries are considered non-life threatening.
