Venice high school hosts quad golf meet


VENICE – A high school boys golf meet, bringing Sarasota, Cardinal Mooney and Charlotte to the Venice Golf and Country Club for a 3:30pm tee time.

With the four best scores pulled from each school’s rotation of six golfers, Cardinal Mooney came out on top. On the par 36 front nine, the Cougars shot an aggregate 152 (Sarasota-159, Venice-170, Charlotte-180).

Highlighted by Jake Nash, Noah Kumar and Jake Hebda, who all broke 40. Cardinal Mooney moves to a perfect 17-0 on the season and will head to the Royal Lakes golf course for the Lakewood Ranch invitational this Saturday.
