BRADENTON- One person is displaced after a fire at a mobile home park completely destroyed a home.

Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue received the call of a mobile home on fire just before 2 PM. Crews were on scene, and putting water on the flames within two min. No one was home at the time, but a pet bird died in the fire.

Battalion Chief Doug Britt says because crews were on scene quickly they were able to control the fire before it spread to any other homes.

“We did have a small explosion after our arrival,” Britt said. “Which could be various things from a paint can to a propane tank to any variety of things, at this point we’re not sure what it is but there were.”

Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue is still investigating the cause of the fire.
