Burglary suspects arrested in Charlotte County


CHARLOTTE – The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested two burglary suspects Friday night.

18- year old Timothy Walters and 17- year old Kenny Chambers III were arrested after they were brought in for questioning during the investigation.
They are suspects in 17 burglaries in Charlotte County as well as several burglaries in North Port.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office says many of the burglaries were to unlocked vehicles with the crimes occurred between May 4th and May 18th.

They are charged with multiple counts of burglary and grand theft.

Detectives were able to recover a stolen ATV, stolen vehicle, three firearms, and other miscellaneous stolen property. Detectives are still seeking the owners of two recovers firearms.

Walters is in custody at the Charlotte County Jail, where he is being held on a $261,000 bond. Chambers III was transferred to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

The investigation is ongoing.
