SARASOTA- In this years, Carnegie Hero Fund Commission annual report, it features a man who saved two lives in Sarasota back in 2015.
Clifford Wright and Patricia Cothern will never forget January 13, 2015.
A day Cothern would have died along with two other people inside a vehicle after it ends up in the water.
The driver lost control while backing out and ended up in the pond.
The front seat passenger got out on their won but the backseat passenger, Cothern who is legally blind was trapped until wright pulled her out of the car.
After wright made sure she was safe, he then helped the driver with only seconds to spare.

Since then, he’s received a certificate of merit from the Sarasota Police Department and in January, he received a recognition and medal from the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission.
