Venice gives a heavy dose of Laroche


SARASOTA – This week’s Player of the Week is fast, so no wonder they call him “Speedy” Laroche.

Matt “Speedy” Laroche scored five. Yes, five touchdowns in Venice’s game of the year win over Braden River 42–35.

Both teams are ranked in the top five in the state of their division.

Laroche’s 342 yards is the second’s highest rushing total in school history, and the five touchdowns is second most in school history as well. Congrats Speedy!
